Castle thinks a mystery book would be too cliche for Conan (and he doesn't want to give him any books he already owns by accident), so from Castle, Conan gets a brand new soccer ball and a bouncy net to kick it into so he's not kicking it against the castle walls.

Jennifer knows better than to get Conan a kiddie detective kit, so he gets a multitool and this very fancy flashlight.
