It's a....castle? There are a solid five minuets where he's convinced he's in Hogwarts, but that's dumb. Hogwarts is made up.
(Like werewolves are totally made up.)
He tries not to freak out. He shouldn't freak out. He's an Alpha now, he should be doing the opposite of freaking out, and that's staying calm. Which he is doing. While he tries to find out if he's been kidnapped.
It can't be the darach. They already have a new English teacher.
He takes the steps up two at a time, though he's not sure exactly why. No - yes he is. He needs a vantage point. He needs to figure out where he is. He needs to find his people. (His pack. It doesn't sound as dumb as he thinks it should.)
On the lower level of the roof he jogs in a circle, looking out over the grounds, the forest, and he's pretty sure if there was a freaking castle in the middle of the Beacon Hills preserve, he'd know. Which means he's not in Beacon Hills.
Whatever sparks the idea is pretty hard to say, and he tries not to think about it. Instead, he reaches for that part of himself that's Scott but also something else, and everything goes red and sharp and clear. He can feel his ears shift and his teeth grow, and it's so normal now. He needs to find his pack. It's as simple as that.
So he leans forward, out over the rail, and howls.]
