Her red hair shines in the sun as she chases the little fish and the crabs that the waves bring in, and she laughs as she occasionally bends to lift up a starfish and throw it back into the deeper water.
Jenny Scott is alone but not afraid. She's crossed the ocean by herself, she's steered a ship (not a boat, a ship) a little, and she's got her dolly. Besides that, she'd met her father on a beach, and thus is sure he's somewhere about, watching her and keeping her safe from afar.
