Recent open threads or posts: Spike's birthday was a few days ago! Celebrate with him by giving him alcohol, his birthday can last forever.
Additional Comments: Abbreviated today due to time constraints, but I will return later to discuss current status!

Canon: Rise of the Guardians
Current status in game: ~*Being the Boogeyman*~. I'm always up for plotting in regards to that-- all his nightmare- and fear-related plotting posts are in his journal.
Any current or future plans: n/a; playing it by ear for now.
Recent open threads or posts: He has an IC contact post, but other than that, no.
Desired CR: Negative CR forever! He's really, really easy to get that with, so bring it on me. Positive stuff is also really interesting to me, so I'm always up for that, too! I think my two long-standing hopes have been a) for him to see some of his adversaries here as actual threats, and b) to have someone he cares about on some level.
Shipping Preferences: I'm fine with it if something develops, but he very likely wouldn't ICly go for most people.
Additional Comments: My own tagging speed varies wildly, and I'm fine with all tagging speeds from everyone else!

Current status in game: Newbie! Mostly, she's just been figuring the place out-- she's from Normal Earth, so pretty much everything in Paradisa is strange and unexpected to her.
Any current or future plans: n/a; playing it by ear for now.
Recent open threads or posts: Nope, but I'm going to post with her soon-ish.
Desired CR: She's new, so some friends would be good! Also, she always needs people willing to tell her to cut the crap and grow the hell up (her loss is going to help with that, too; she has to regularly do productive things or else she'll get migraines).
Shipping Preferences: Sure, if something comes up I'd be fine with it.

Current status in game: So Deb is completely new to the game so she hasn't really had the opportunity to do much. She arrived with an injury so she's not doing anything too strenuous right now.
Any current or future plans: I would love for her to start some kind of police force. A group of people working to keep the calm in the area and take regular patrols. Would anyone be interested in joining in on this idea?

COMMENT CHALLENGE FOR AUGUST
Is this something that might float?
Are people too busy in August however and should I just forget it?
Is this just another terrible Snowy™ idea?
In the swing of getting motivated and earning the satisfaction of completing a challenge, I wouldn't propose anything too crazy, say maybe 40-50 comments (I think many of us can manage that usually), a portion of the comments to be with a char you've not tagged before or had CR with for a long time.
Produce your threads at the end of August to prove the challenge was met and I may be able to make a shiny (but likely terrible) jpeg as an award. How can you refuse? Make posts and tag away! Thoughts, further ideas, or tell me to sit down and be quiet? ;)

Canon: Doctor Who
Current status in game: Looks like he's about to learn about the Time War. Oops. Expect a slightly quieter and tetchy Doc for a bit. Apart from that, he's ticking along as usual.
Any current or future plans: Yes! I have either a loss that will require volunteers (heheheh) or something else that might be cooking. There are plans for a post with Galadriel for mental defence lessons / relaxing techniques, very zen, and that may happen this month. Other than that I would like to change Five's loss - ideas for a loss change and also plotty things to go with that would be awesome! Because I'm mean, Five getting into a fight or just a horrible accident, I would find it hilarious and could be a way into getting his loss changed.

Current status in game: Just been tagging out and living his life normally. He's not been up to anything special.
Any current or future plans: I will soon be putting in a request to canon update Simon to the end of the "Leaves on the Wind" sequel comics. I feel like this will put him in a much better place mentally.

Current status in game: Jennifer has been self-reflective and navelgazy this month, as she struggles to find herself and just be happy with who she is again.

Current status in game: Just hanging around, she has recently been turned into a Tinkerbell-style fairy (loss is done, but I can backtag it).

Current status in game: She's had a few losses last month, which annoyed her, but otherwise she's cruising along just fine.
Any current or future plans: She has a few disappearances to bring up soon. Also, she might try for a Star Wars (Paradisa version) marathon in order to educate the castle on good sci-fi.

Current status in game: She is good! Mostly Sugar has been hanging out with Rise and enjoying the sudden summer snow.
Any current or future plans: Mostly her checking up on her Magic Flower and practicing making snow.

Current status in game: She's chilling outside, still stuck as a shell. Better for her to miss the 4th of July stuff.
Any current or future plans: I'll be putting up a log soon for her changing back from her shell loss. I might put her on another loss this month, like a human loss or kid dragon loss. She'll be looking to expand her hoard soon. Also, if anyone is interesting in doing something where their character can command a dragon for a period of time, I might do something with her heart casket.
