It's the return of the Fourth Wall Meme, and we're opening it for the next full week!

paradisa does not allow non-members to post or comment in our main community, so we're offering this as a place to roleplay with our cast. Both character journals and personal journals are welcome, as well as doubles, original characters, AUs, whatever. Not all can be applied to the main game, but they're certainly welcome here.

Premise:
You wake up in a giant, magical castle. Everything is beautiful and the castle grants material wishes. It also provides a magic journal to every resident that allows everyone to communicate with each other like a two-way radio.

Format:
[Actions] Dialogue.

IE:
[Mickey Mouse enters the room, and sits down at the kitchen table.]

Gosh, guys, is this place ever swell!

[She looks away too, seeing that. She must do something bad to get that reaction, but it isn't exactly a new guess. She got the same kind of vibe from Tim, her first day here. And speaking of him...]

Robin said... you adopted me.

I did.

[Daughter goes unspoken. You will always have a home as long as I am here.]

[And now she tugs her cowl off, tucking it into her belt for safekeeping before finally reaching out, putting her hand on his elbow. Cain never looked like this, but Cain was never a father.

In her time, Bruce doesn't look like a father yet. This one? Everything about his body language screams it and she has never felt more at home than she does in this second.]

Missed you.

[Quietly:] Cowl.

[He's never been quite this distant towards her while they're out on patrol, but this is not Gotham. Then, he cants his head slightly to the next rooftop, and takes out the grapple fun. Follow.]

[She doesn't put it back on. She's never cared, she doesn't try to be that careful here. Her own gun comes out and she nods, ready to go where he goes.]

[He keeps to the shadows. Finally, they reach the topmost part, and he crouches there, waiting for her to join him.]

[Cass is right behind him, of course.]

No enemies, here. It's safe.

[Nowhere is safe.]

Was anyone else pulled in with you? Or am I the only arrival from Gotham?

Spoiler. She's... Batgirl, now. And Robin, but he's... something different, too. Just us, right now.

We've met.

[And they're closer to his point in the timeline.]

How long have you been here?

[How long have you "missed me"?]

Since March.

[A long time, for someone that's died twice in one year.]

It's August, in Gotham.

[A very long time. He shifts, becoming more open. She can come as close as she needs to, now.]

[It's... a little awkward, but she comes closer, hesitating for only a moment before she puts her arms around him and hugs him.]

I don't... remember Barbara, for my loss. It was... just us.

[He was all she had in Gotham until meeting Stephanie. All that time it was just Batman and Batgirl with the occasional visit from Nightwing or Robin, but the only constant was him. It's been weird, trying to adjust to not having him. Now that he's here, she feels whole again.]

[He starts. Barbara was always the more constant support, for Cassandra. He... wasn't, and he attempts to make up for it, by adjusting the cape, and putting an arm around her shoulder. She, like Jason, had preferred the feel of the suit.]

So your memories are that you lived by yourself? Or at the Manor?

Alone, mostly. You were there, though. For patrolling, training. Teaching.

[But the majority of her time was spent by herself, occasionally with Alfred there to take care of things like stocking the cupboards or making sure she had clean clothes.]
