Fourth Wall Meme

It's the return of the Fourth Wall Meme, and we're opening it for the next full week!

paradisa does not allow non-members to post or comment in our main community, so we're offering this as a place to roleplay with our cast. Both character journals and personal journals are welcome, as well as doubles, original characters, AUs, whatever. Not all can be applied to the main game, but they're certainly welcome here.

Premise:
You wake up in a giant, magical castle. Everything is beautiful and the castle grants material wishes. It also provides a magic journal to every resident that allows everyone to communicate with each other like a two-way radio.

Format:
[Actions] Dialogue.

IE:
[Mickey Mouse enters the room, and sits down at the kitchen table.]

Gosh, guys, is this place ever swell!

What are you gonna do?

[Hello there, nice lady. You might happen to see a man in a dark blue uniform leaning over your shoulder. Those ear feathers must really stand out on a guy that looks entirely human otherwise.]

Sounds like we're both not where we're supposed to be.

[He'll tilt his head a little.]

That was quite the entrance, by the way.

Thank you, I try to make the biggest entrances as possible. [Park the sass, woman]

What do you know of this place? You look like yo have been here before I did. [And while he responds, Sofia scanned the details she could get from this guy, just to give her an idea on what he is, or who he is]

[He's used to sass being thrown around on a daily basis, so he doesn't even bat an eye.]

Certainly looks like you do.

[He'll walk around in front of her and fold his arms, shrugging.]

I'm probably in the same boat as you. Only thing I know on the place is the name, and I dunno about you, but 'Paradisa' certainly isn't on any Celveryian map that I know of.

So it's a "vortex world" [Stop throwing references no one would get, lady. You're one unruly muse]

Not everything is in maps. Some areas are erased to help hide unsavory things from the public.

If that's the term you wanna go throwing around. [Might look a wee bit disgruntled. But he's used to Caeli and Blaze throwing around terms he doesn't know.]

I'm familiar with that, believe me. The whole Malidus region doesn' exist as far as the public's concerned.

Malidus region? [The tone of her voice suggests interest]

Part of the world that the Cardinals commandeered for their operations. And of course an area of extremely important resources to other countries.

The cover-up doesn't really work, but keeping the Cardinals under wraps is kind of the biggest priority.

Cardinals. Interesting... [She puts a hand on her chin to think. Maybe she could check out this world later when she's not on a mission]

Just curious, but these Cardinals, are they affiliated with a religious group?

Not that anyone's aware of, they just seem to have a militant organization. Terrorists, if you prefer a more brash term.

[He shakes his head.]

There were gods in the ancient world called the Cardinals, so maybe that's where they picked the moniker up from. Just to make them sound more powerful than they really are.

Very possible. But in my line of work, I wouldn't be surprised if they are the same gods from legend.

[Now that's just plain silly.]

I doubt it. If they were 'gods', they wouldn't need militants around. Not to mention they'd have the entire world under their thumbs.

It's possible. I have to see for myself later.

[Toootally raising an eyebrow.]

And how would you do that?

Let's just say, my employers have a way that would allow me to do so.

Nooot sure I follow how you'd get to an entirely different realm.

It's a long explanation. When I tell it, people tend to fall asleep.

What, do you tell them the mechanics and workings behind such things instead of giving the nutshell answer?

Either one still cause people to look at me funny.

And I'm already looking at people funny enough in this place, if that makes you feel any better.

It doesn't, but it reminds me of my early days in this job.
