It's the return of the Fourth Wall Meme, and we're opening it for the next full week!

paradisa does not allow non-members to post or comment in our main community, so we're offering this as a place to roleplay with our cast. Both character journals and personal journals are welcome, as well as doubles, original characters, AUs, whatever. Not all can be applied to the main game, but they're certainly welcome here.

Premise:
You wake up in a giant, magical castle. Everything is beautiful and the castle grants material wishes. It also provides a magic journal to every resident that allows everyone to communicate with each other like a two-way radio.

Format:
[Actions] Dialogue.

IE:
[Mickey Mouse enters the room, and sits down at the kitchen table.]

Gosh, guys, is this place ever swell!

There's no Shadows here! This isn't the Midnight Channel. I've been here for months.

I just talked to you last night when the Midnight Channel came back on! Seriously Chie, this isn't the time to be joking around! Where are the others?

[He drags himself out of the pond ~~with no help from you, Chie~~ and looks up behind her-- is that a castle?]

Oh great, don't tell me we're gonna have another "Princess Yukiko" running around.

This isn't the Midnight Channel, I told you I've been here for months! Why would I joke about that?! And what do you mean it came back on?!

[She didn't want to think about Yukiko right now. She's been missing her like crazy. But if Yosuke is here, does that mean more from Inaba would come?]

[OH WHAT THE HELL, CHIE.]

Then why did we end up here when we leapt into the TV at Junes!?

--You know what I'm talking about! You know, the Midnight Channel showed that whole thing about a tournament between high school students? And those students were all us?! We weren't dreamin' that!

[And don't get him started on the titles!]

Well I sure as hell didn't go here from the TV! The last memory from home I remember was me jogging at the riverbank, then I just woke up here! I'm telling you, this isn't the Midnight Channel. I never even heard of this tournament! Would you listen to me for once?!

Come on, you're not listening to me either! [So it's fair!] I'm telling you, Chie, the Midnight Channel is back on!

[He stops and sighs, gripping his forehead.]

Okay, you know what, let's just stop and start from the beginning again. This is making my head hurt.

First off, where's everyone else? I wasn't able to get ahold of Kanji-kun or Rise-chan, and Teddie's missing... and Naoto-kun's busy with something.

Rise-chan's been here waaay before I was. Souji-kun just got here, was it a month ago? I'm not sure. But we're the only ones from back home in here. Nanako-chan was here, and so was Adachi-san. But they all went back home!

[What is this about this 'staying here for months' thing? He was JUST with Chie, Yukiko and Souji a minute ago! Nanako is worrysome but--]

Adachi? How the hell would he get here?!

He was taken from a time before he got put behind bars. When Yukiko was here, the last thing she remembers was when we looked for Mitsuo inside the TV. We're all taken from different times. I-It's hard to explain...

[Not that explaining things was her forte to begin with]

... yeah, this isn't making any sense.

[As far as he's concerned, Chie, you're just being crazy.]

Alright, I'll bite. What's the last thing you remember, then?

Ugh, I told you. I was jogging at the riverbank, then suddenly I just woke up in my room in the castle!

I really thought I was kidnapped and thrown into the TV again, but it's definitely different...

I mean about the case. Since apparently you don't seem to remember the Midnight Channel started up again right when Souji-kun came back to Inaba. And it even gave us all stupid nicknames!

Well you should have asked what I last remember about the case, then! Urrgh!

I don't know anything about the Midnight Channel coming back. I got here the day after Souji-kun left Inaba.

How the hell does that even work!? It's been ages since then! [Okay not ages, but Yosuke exaggerates, dammit.]

And you're saying this isn't the Midnight Channel, even though the four of us just leapt through the TV again at Junes. What, are you saying that whatever this 'not Midnight Channel' place is, it messes with our memories or something?

Hey, I don't have all the answers! Those before me just say it's a whole different dimension. It does mess with people memories sometimes, not that I could say it happened to me.

Aaand how would you know if it didn't mess with your memories? [THEY'RE SOUNDING PRETTY MESSED UP RIGHT NOW, CHIE.]

Look, dude, I don't know what's going on but we've got the Midnight Channel to worry about again. So we need to find the others and get out of here before something bad happens. Again.

Ugh, alright alright!

[Chie takes her journal out to filter to Rise and Souji]

Hey guys, you would not believe who's here!

....aaand now you're yelling at a book.

Y'know, Chie, no offense but... I'm startin' to worry about you a little.

[Aaand there's that "I'm gonna kick your balls" glare]

They don't always answer. That means they're busy with something or their journals are closed! Sheesh!

If you don't believe me, try wishing for some object!

[Not the family jewels! Leave them alone!]

Well as much as I'd want to wish for a towel right now, I really doubt-

[flop, towel on his head.]

--What the?!

[Chie totally has an "I told you so" look on her face right now, hands on both hips and everything]

I don't think you can do that in the Midnight Channel.

[He quickly reaches up and grabs the towel from his head, looking at it oddly before turning his attention back to Chie.]

Okay, what exactly is going on here?

You're in a different dimension that apparently grants people's wishes for objects. You can even wish for food in here.

[....what.....]

... Right, so you're saying that because I said I wanted a towel, I got one? How the hell does that work!?

The castle is kind of alive. At least that's what the other residents told me.
