  Fourth Wall Meme

It's the return of the Fourth Wall Meme, and we're opening it for the next full week! paradisa does not allow non-members to post or comment in our main community, so we're offering this as a place to roleplay with our cast. Both character journals and personal journals are welcome, as well as doubles, original characters, AUs, whatever. Not all can be applied to the main game, but they're certainly welcome here.

Premise:
You wake up in a giant, magical castle. Everything is beautiful and the castle grants material wishes. It also provides a magic journal to every resident that allows everyone to communicate with each other like a two-way radio.
 

Format:
[Actions] Dialogue.

IE:
[Mickey Mouse enters the room, and sits down at the kitchen table.]

Gosh, guys, is this place ever swell!

What are you gonna do?

[She didn't respond to that line, so she just shrugged and put her hands on her hips]

I was in the middle of a tournament, and when I opened my eyes, I was here. No spell could have had enough power to have done this.

[Guess humor's not her cup of tea.]

And I was about the buy the farm. There's nothing that could have saved me from that.

Buy the farm...? Pardon? [What are these modern terminology?]

[malebolge]

[Geez, and here he didn't want to put it so bluntly.]

I should be dead, kid.

[rune_warlock]

I-I see. That is a very odd term to describe death...

[malebolge]

[He shrugs.]

Pilot lingo, can't expect everyone to know the story behind it.

[rune_warlock]

I was not aware airship pilots have their own set of codes. [That's the most advanced flying thing in her world, pardon her]

[malebolge]

[He'd run through the phonetic alphabet if he wanted to bore her.]

It's not exactly something that people outside of the military would know.

[rune_warlock]

Then... why say it? Force of habit?

[malebolge]

When you're flying with a squadron for so long, certain things become second nature.

[He'll be taking a wander over and sitting in one of the cushy lobby seats, crossing a leg over the other.]

Apparently I'll have to watch myself in this place for people like you who won't get it.

[rune_warlock]

That would be wise. Miscommunication can be fatal.

You're not even going to try to investigate this castle?

[malebolge]

[Y'know what else is fatal? Throwing yourself to an entire country's air force with nothing but UAVs as back-up to cover the escape of your squadron.]

I will, but first I've got to appreciate the fact I'm alive, shouldn't I?

I suppose you have earned that right...

[Fenris sighs.]

[malebolge]

[Of course he has.]

Unwinding a little yourself could do you some good too, kid.

[rune_warlock]

I'm not a child for you to refer to as a "kid"

[malebolge]

[He'll lean forward and crack a smile.]

Case in point. Would you prefer "sweetheart" then?

[rune_warlock]

No.

[Keep trying]

[malebolge]

[He chuckles to himself before leaning back in the seat.]

Well, I'm out of options. Care to tell me your name then?

[rune_warlock]

Fenris.

[malebolge]

Fenris, then. Not the type for small talk, huh?

[He'd offer his hand, but he leaned back already. Handshakes can be later.]

Lieutenant Commander Ilya Pasternak.

[rune_warlock]

You must be a relevant person in your country to have such a rank. [The "commander" threw her off]

[malebolge]

[Damn straight, missy.]

I had more of a presence in the military than the entire country.

[rune_warlock]

I see...

[Fenris feels uneasy waiting in the lobby. She keeps turning her head to look around. Leaving someone behind a dungeon like this, despite the friendly appearance, just doesn't sit well with her.]
