  Fourth Wall Meme

It's the return of the Fourth Wall Meme, and we're opening it for the next full week! paradisa does not allow non-members to post or comment in our main community, so we're offering this as a place to roleplay with our cast. Both character journals and personal journals are welcome, as well as doubles, original characters, AUs, whatever. Not all can be applied to the main game, but they're certainly welcome here.

Premise:
You wake up in a giant, magical castle. Everything is beautiful and the castle grants material wishes. It also provides a magic journal to every resident that allows everyone to communicate with each other like a two-way radio.
 

Format:
[Actions] Dialogue.

IE:
[Mickey Mouse enters the room, and sits down at the kitchen table.]

Gosh, guys, is this place ever swell!

What are you gonna do?

[ And Lee honestly, completely, literally has no idea how to even answer that remark. Well - at least she recognizes him, which is better than it could have been, and he presses his hand briefly to his face in exasperation as he steps inside. ]

Since you've established that there's not going to be anything in there you might be interested in, would you please get out?

[scaler]

Yeah, hello to you, too.

[She does sit back on her heels, though, and smile back at him. She won't steal from him, not really.]

Does this mean I have to put the other stuff back?

[rightchoices]

[ And he really appreciates that. His expression still retains that vaguely surprised crease, though. ]

Probably.. but mostly because there's no reason to take it. This place provides for you.

[scaler]

Kinda figured that one out for myself.

[Well, not really. It was mostly just weird to find out he has a closet, of all the bizarrely mundane things.]

So, how's it work? Souped up room service? Or is that just a nicer way of saying, "I raided all the other rooms already"?

[rightchoices]

[ She really is brand new, then. Lee folds his arms over his chest, shaking his head with a brief and very nearly inaudible sigh. He was never any good at this 'explaining things' business. ]

Magic.

[ If the Walkers had happened, what was so outlandish about magic? Finally, he amends: ]

Or a very convincing mass hallucination.

no worries darlin!

[scaler]

[She glances around at the room.]

Don't know about you, but this is pretty tame for my subconscious just by itself.

[rightchoices]

[ Lee starts to answer, stops, and then just regards her with a lifted brow for a long, lingering moment. Finally he seems to just sort of concede. ]

You have a point. So how've you been, Molly?

[scaler]

[She shrugs.]

Still alive.

You?

[Whether she's asking how he's been or if he's still alive is up to him.]

[rightchoices]

[ Lee sort of just shrugs an answer to her - she's welcome to interpret that as she will. ]

Clementine's here, too.

[scaler]

[She watches him carefully.]

So you're good, is what you're saying.

[rightchoices]

[ He returns the careful look.. and then chuckles quietly, sort of vaguely shrugging. ]

Yeah. I guess that is what I'm saying.

[scaler]

[She smiles. All things being equal, that's good news.]

She's a lucky kid. Magic castle? That's pretty much living the dream.

[rightchoices]

Yeah. All the ice cream she could want.

[ But his voice is leveling again as he regards her. ]

So where'd you end up?

[scaler]

You know, around.

[She keeps her tone light, like it's not important.]

I had a good system going in Savannah, so sticking around's my best bet. Now that Crawford's gone, I bet I'll have supplies to last me a while.

[rightchoices]

Once you get out of here, at least. There's no easy coming and going, you know.

[scaler]

Hey, I'm still working on believing this place is real.

[Hallucination, maybe, even if it's not what she would have expected to hallucinate. Fucked up afterlife, who knows?]

But to be honest with you, I'm not in any hurry to go back. Real or not.

[rightchoices]

It's not always great here. It's pretty bad pretty often, actually.

[ Lee's voice is calm and patient. ]

But it's worth it. You'll let me know if you need help settling in?

[ But, well. He doubts that she will. ]

[scaler]

[He is correct, sir. She appreciates the offer, even if she won't take it.

She glances back at his closet.]

Thanks, but something tells me I'll be able to handle it.

[rightchoices]

Don't think I've ever doubted that about you, Molly.

[ And then he chuckles lightly. ]

I'd appreciate if you'd keep the scavenging out of my bedroom, though.

[scaler]

Hey, I don't pass up an easy target when I see one. You don't want people like me in here, you should double-check your locks.

[rightchoices]

Never had a reason to, before. But I guess this is a good one to start.

[scaler]

Yeah. Gotta be weird, having stuff to give a shit about again that isn't food or weapons.

[rightchoices]

You know.. you get used to it faster than you'd think.

[scaler]

Hope you're right about that. It's a hell of an upgrade from the last place I crashed in, I'd like to take advantage of it.
