It's the return of the Fourth Wall Meme, and we're opening it for the next full week!

paradisa does not allow non-members to post or comment in our main community, so we're offering this as a place to roleplay with our cast. Both character journals and personal journals are welcome, as well as doubles, original characters, AUs, whatever. Not all can be applied to the main game, but they're certainly welcome here.

Premise:
You wake up in a giant, magical castle. Everything is beautiful and the castle grants material wishes. It also provides a magic journal to every resident that allows everyone to communicate with each other like a two-way radio.

Format:
[Actions] Dialogue.

IE:
[Mickey Mouse enters the room, and sits down at the kitchen table.]

Gosh, guys, is this place ever swell!

What are you gonna do?

It was a rather abrupt change. I was supposed to be landing in unspoilt wilderness.

[She's looking around at the castle and it's decor. Definitely not unspoilt wilderness.] This is a nice place, though. I wonder who owns it, and why we're here?

And I was supposed to be in a city. A futuristic one at that.

[Troy checked each hallway one by one, taking a peek to decide which one to go to first]

My gut says nobody owns it. This place sounds what we call a "vortex world" in my job. It just takes you in for no reason, then spit you back out where it got you when it's tired of ya.

[Pyrrha looks at him, perplexed.] A 'vortex world'? I've never heard of anything like it ...

Most people don't, and we like to keep it that way.

[He only told her because this meeting would be temporary, and she'll be back to her own world in no time. Regardless, he kept looking around]

There's the stairs. Do you want to check that or keep looking around in this floor?

[He normally doesn't ask like this, but he's curious about this kid. He want to know what she's capable of]

I'll check the stairs.

[She takes her spear out again, letting it telescope into a sharp point, and keeps that and her shield at the ready as she heads up the stairs to investigate. She's won the Mistral region tournaments four years running and is the current figure gracing the front of Pumpkin Pete's Marshmallow Flakes cereal, she's got an easy competence about her and isn't exibiting any hesitance or fear.]

You got it. Rendezvous here back in the lobby and report what you've seen.

[Troy's not very comfortable letting children go out on their own. He's actually pretty against it and is naturally over-protective of children, no matter how good they are. But they're gonna be covering a lot more ground if they split up. A risky move, but she seems determined enough to do it.

He'll be taking a different route while Pyrrha moves to the stairs and the other floors. But their paths would soon cross again in a different floor]

[Don't worry, she's quite adept for her age.]

[She's also getting a sense that this castle isn't exactly dangerous. When they meet up, she's stowed her weapon again and seems to be fairly relaxed.]

It seems to be a regular housing complex. I found plenty of rooms, and a multi-story library.

[Well hello again]

This is starting to look more like a hotel than a castle. I found electronic appliances in the first floor, and even took the elevator here. Pretty out of place for a castle...

[Pyrrha makes a considering hmm noise.] Perhaps it's a themed vacation resort?

But where is the staff? I assume you haven't seen anyone around? I sure haven't.

[Troy rubs the back of his neck and but couldn't help but feel like his vest has something in it. He thinks it's just an ammo magazine, but it's been slightly bugging him. He puts his hand on it and was almost surprised to see a journal.

That's weird, he normally would have noticed that by now. But he did put ammo on that pocket, but they're missing now and was replaced by the weird book. He opened it to flip the pages]

Well, I'll be... This wasn't in my pocket earlier.

I haven't either.

[She watches him curiously as he pulls out the journal, frowning, and briefly pats herself down. Nope, nothing. Not like she really has pockets anyway ... but then she notices a similar journal on the floor by her feet that wasn't there before, and her her name engraved on the front.]

Pyrrha Nikos She stoops carefully to pick it up.] Well, this is certainly curious.

[Troy raises an eyebrow when he sees the words that Pyrrha just said appear on the pages]

No kidding.

[His expression of curiosity quickly changed to an unamused frown when he sees his words written in Comic Sans]

Of all the fonts...

[Pyrrha flips her journal opens and sees the same, except in nice, flowing font (sorry)].

Hm. This is all very interesting.

[He'll be internally grumbling. It could be worse, like some moe anime font. That would cause him to flip tables]

This kind of thing doesn't exist in your world, I'm guessing.

No, not really. [~~At least not that we've seen yet~~]

What do you think it means?

Well, I've been to someplace similar to this castle before. This journal is provided to us like some kind of ID. Oh well, I'll look into this while I search the premises. We're not done yet...

[OOC: Where do you want to take this? Any places of interest? I'm pretty open]

[She nods.] It does seem rather expansive.

[[ooc: hha no idea XD pretty open here, too :3 ]]

[OOC: Alright, want to time-skip in a few posts? They could go to the town]

[Troy nods in return. He's gonna try and get to the top of the castle from the outside, just to check the surrounding area. It looks like this journal is also some kind of communication device they could use. That made him feel a little more secure in letting this kid go alone]

Alright. You can keep searching the castle. If you notice anything weird, you can use this journal, and take this with you. Keep that with you at all times.

[He hands out a small translucent device in the shape of a disk, and the size of a coin. After that, he puts some sunglasses on and walked near the window]

I'm gonna try something. I'll let you know when I'm done and I'll come to ya.

[Troy punches the window to make a big enough clearing for him to leap out, and use his grappling hook to get to one of the spires.]
