  Fourth Wall Meme

It's the return of the Fourth Wall Meme, and we're opening it for the next full week! paradisa does not allow non-members to post or comment in our main community, so we're offering this as a place to roleplay with our cast. Both character journals and personal journals are welcome, as well as doubles, original characters, AUs, whatever. Not all can be applied to the main game, but they're certainly welcome here.

Premise:
You wake up in a giant, magical castle. Everything is beautiful and the castle grants material wishes. It also provides a magic journal to every resident that allows everyone to communicate with each other like a two-way radio.
 

Format:
[Actions] Dialogue.

IE:
[Mickey Mouse enters the room, and sits down at the kitchen table.]

Gosh, guys, is this place ever swell!

What are you gonna do?

[ Smiling earnestly is difficult when she swings between wanting to break into tears and laughing like a madwoman. His presence overwhelms her so. But she can stand on the tips of her toes to place the lightest kiss on his lips, hesitant because she is afraid the dream might shatter otherwise.

Then she does laugh, fragile but free. ]

Can one cry and smile at the same time, Cesare?

[consigliore]

[ he exhales, mouth following her retreating lips before he stops himself, jaw setting. she laughs and it brings another smile to his face, this one lighter than the other, it reaches his eyes better and they do not look so dark. ]

Perhaps they can, my love. But I have not done either for some time.

[lucre]

[ Her smile, too, is lighter now that she is sure he is no figment of her imagination. But other things weigh on her mind, matters that might upset him further. ]

You must promise to smile for me. There are too few reasons for me to do so otherwise.

[consigliore]

I promise. [ a promise he can likely keep, a promise that will not weigh him down. ] For you.

[ there is weight on her, that much he can see. and he takes her chin between his fingers lightly, expression smoothing out to something akin to softness- something only she ever sees. ]

You know you can speak to me sis, whatever it is weighs upon your mind you can speak to me.

[lucre]

[ Lucrezia closes her eyes and breathes deeply, as if she only now remembers how to. Then she moves to take the hand on her chin in hers, stepping aside to start guiding him along. ]

Come. There is much I must tell you.

[consigliore]

[ without pause his fingers lock with hers, feet moving on their own accord. he dares not stray from her, he will be her shadow as micheletto is his. ]

Have I missed so much? [ the thought unsettles him. how long has she been here without him? ]
