It's the return of the Fourth Wall Meme, and we're opening it for the next full week!

paradisa does not allow non-members to post or comment in our main community, so we're offering this as a place to roleplay with our cast. Both character journals and personal journals are welcome, as well as doubles, original characters, AUs, whatever. Not all can be applied to the main game, but they're certainly welcome here.

Premise:
You wake up in a giant, magical castle. Everything is beautiful and the castle grants material wishes. It also provides a magic journal to every resident that allows everyone to communicate with each other like a two-way radio.

Format:
[Actions] Dialogue.

IE:
[Mickey Mouse enters the room, and sits down at the kitchen table.]

Gosh, guys, is this place ever swell!

What are you gonna do?

[Oh, Giotto's here!

... wait, why is Giotto here? ... and completely engrossed in a book no less. Okay, that's weird. He knew the guy could be a book worm sometimes but not really outside their home so much...]

Don't you look right at home?

[Giotto jumps. Actually, honestly jumps and turns to look at G. Well, more like stare because this can't actually be happening. G can't actually be here. The castle wouldn't be that kind (or cruel).

Excuse him while his mind slowly reboots.]

[Okay, that's even weirder! G's brow furrows.]

... uh, hello? Earth to Primo?

[He reaches up with his hand and pokes Giotto in the forehead.]

You okay there, boss? You look like you've just seen the Cloud bastard smile or somethin'.

[Giotto waves his hand away with his book, still not quite believing this.]

You shouldn't be here. Why are you here?

[wow, thanks boss :|]

Hell if I know. I don't even know where here is.

[Christ, did he mess up again? He sighs and rubs the back of his head.]

Was lookin' for the exit anyway...

[This is actually, really happening, wasn't it? G was really here, really in front of him.

Excuse him while he flings himself at G and hugs him. This is totally unbefitting a mafia boss, but he's started to care about that less and less the more he's here.]

[Oh, what?

Giotto was...

Hugging him.

G's so thrown off by the gesture that he just stands, frozen in place.]

... boss?

[Giotto pulls away then, realizing he's making a scene.] Sorry, I'm sorry. It's just... I didn't expect to see you here at all. And it's been...a long time.

You're not making a whole lot of sense...

[He frowns at him.]

Seriously, you okay?

I'm fine, I swear. [Better than he has been, here.]

If you say so.

So, when you say it's been a long time...

[Giotto has to think about this.] A year, almost... 10 months or so. That I've been trapped herr.

[He holds up his hand in front of Giotto with two fingers up.]

How many fingers am I holdin' up?

Two fingers. G, I am not crazy nor have I hit my head.

[He looks a bit exasperated as he explains this.]

You've been kidnapped by a living castle and are now in another world. It can take anybody from any time. I've been here for almost a year now.

[He lowers his hand and crosses his arms.]

Well, forgive me for suspendin' belief when the man I saw yesterday tells me he's been stuck in this place for a year.

[He cranes his neck up, looking at the ceiling.]

Living castles an' other worlds? I thought the shit we were already dealing with was insane enough.

You probably did see me yesterday. But I'm also been here for a year. Time is... funny.

No, this is actually much worse.

Well ain't that just what I wanted to hear?

[A year, though...]

What about the others?

No one's here but you. Well...unless you count my grandson and his tutor. [Y e p.]

[WHAT] Your... [whaaaaaaaaat]

Well, he's technically my great great great grandson... [...Okay, he might be having a little more fun dropping this on G than is probably right.] But I just say he's my grandson to simplify things.

...no, I'm still stuck on the part processin' you havin' kids at all.

[Giotto gives him an annoyed look, but G does have a point.]

Well, eventually it happens. When I move to Japan. [No, he doesn't know really why or how, just that it somehow happens.]

Japan? [WH..Y...]

Yes, apparently. I even take on another name. [A pause when he gets more serious.] I can only think it's to escape...

[Daemon.]

[His eyes narrow, and his fists clench at his sides.]
