GIFT GIVING

Christmas is coming, and with it comes present giving! Paradisa is no different, with many friends and family ready to trade tokens of appreciation. Here you can plan and keep track of your character's gift giving (and receiving) this holiday season in three easy steps!


ONE - Comment with your characters. If you'd like, you can leave a list of suggestions for what they might like. It’s not required, but it helps people brainstorm gift ideas. Also if your character is giving out gifts in bulk (like snacks for everyone), this is where you can mention it.
TWO - Reply to others' comments with what your characters are getting theirs. Feel free to ask for ideas if you haven't decided on a gift yet.
THREE - NO ONE IS LATE IN THIS MEME. Seriously. Even if it is the day before (or days after) Christmas, you can still post or reply! Also, please try to check all of the pages in case someone tags later. You wouldn't want to miss someone!

Dairine has a special gift for Five, a re-gifting of sorts since the person she made it for left. It is a custom WizTech computer. Basically, it's a copy of Spot, but without all the fancy wizard features. She also made it shiny black with blue lights, so it's more distinguishable from Spot.

What the copy CANNOT do:
- Five won't be able to access the computer's Wizard Manual files. Those are locked so only wizards can use them.
- This WizTech is not sentient. That's unique to Spot. Therefore, it is unlikely to talk (though that setting could hypothetically be switched on, it would act like normal modern speaking technology) and cannot walk.

What the copy CAN do:
- It can run like a normal computer, so any programs that the Doctor likes can be installed.
- It accepts written input or voice command.
- There is a wizards directory, which Dairine has given him (and a man named Alan Bradley, hmmm) access. This lists all the practicing wizards, their home address, status, power levels mission history, exc. Right now everyone but the Callahan sisters are Out of Ambit, so their information will be sparse. But Five can check up with Dairine's status if he's worried about her. The status shows if she is free, has an assignment, or (heaven forbid) dead. Though the copy will turn to dust at that point.
- It can also directly contact other Wizard Manuals, which at this point includes Dairine/Spot and Nita.
- There are virtual copies the notes on Paradisa that people have gifted Dairine, as well as her own observations.

Aww, Dairine. Five has no idea what to say. He's very touched, and realises its importance. He'll be keeping this to hand, yes.

He's also so gonna ask her who Alan is at some point. :D
