Desmond Miles | Assassin's Creed | Asgard CRAU herp
Oh fuck me.
[ This is a stupid curse, it has to be. Maybe reparations had to be made for drinking himself into a stupor last night and needing Ezio's steady presence to stagger back to Sigyn. Desmond recalls getting to the welcome house, sobering up slowly, talking into the small hours with nonno and then. Sleep?
Now though, this. This is something insane. This is way beyond genderswapping or reliving childhood, this is a whole world apart of what he knows. Even the castle isn't the same as Asgard's, and he can certainly tell, having climbed all the way up onto the roof for a bird's eye view.
No districts radiating out from the castle like spokes in a wheel, nothing of the Holy City, just the town that spreads out below, offensive in its completely inoffensive appearance. This isn't Asgard, this isn't home.
What the holy fuck is going on. ]
This isn't funny anymore!
[ Because shouting at the ceiling helps, right? ]
City
[ More roof-running, though every so often he climbs down to disappear among the natives with practiced ease, looking in at everyone and everything. Though he has a little more in the way of answers, the knowledge has settled like a cold lump of iron deep in his belly. Desmond recognizes not a single person among the residents, and for all that the town itself is clearly full of people, the Assassin feels very lost and wholly alone.
It's getting dark soon, he should probably head back. He accidentally jostles a passerby, and automatically reaches to steady them by the arm, offering a muted ]
Sorry.
City
[Maria answers automatically, not bothered by a little jostle. Paradisa has become more or less familiar by now, but the lack of purpose is still strange. So she roams the surrounding land, looking for one. She hasn't found it. She barely even glances at the stranger as she seeks to move past him. ]
WEH
Maria? Maria! Christ, I thought I was the only one.
I'M ALREADY SAD
The only one what?
[And then she blinks in surprise, because damn if this man doesn't look eerily familiar. Yet she's certain they've never met. ]
sobbing into hands
How long have you been here? Have you seen anyone else?
He'll wake up in the shop tomorrow with the weirdest hangover
castle
Don't think the city heard you, mate.

[ DUH, bro. Duh. ]

No gods in this place. Just the castle. [The closest thing to a god here, giving and taking as it pleases.]
no subject
Yes. We're in the castle. Therefore- oh fuck it- THOR! It's way too soon for this kind of shit, man, I had shit to do today!
no subject
Hell, man! Quiet down. There ain't no Thor here. You're on your own.
[Deity wise. Maybe explanation wise, if he keeps making a ruckus.]
no subject
What's the significance of the castle then? I saw the journal, I've read the liner notes, what's next? What do I have to do to get back home?

hey kid of the future B)
Lower your voice, Desmond.
[And then he does look up, almost surprised with himself. Wait. Desmond is back?
There's Ezio in all his usual glory, thirty-something and wide-eyed and sporting something between a 5 o'clock shadow and a proper beard. (He hasn't decided whether to grow it out again, between Molotov and Stephanie's opposing opinions.) He's staring at Desmond with a bemused look.]
When did you get here?
