TEST DRIVE MEME

Welcome to the Test Drive Meme! Whether you're considering joining [community profile] paradisa for the first time or you just want to test out a new muse, this is the place to do it. Only character journals allowed, please!

Feel free to have your character roam any of the castle's rooms, grounds locations, or City Royale.

Thanks for your interest, and have fun!

Premise:
You wake up in a giant, magical castle. Everything is beautiful and the castle grants material wishes. It also provides a magic journal to every resident that allows everyone to communicate with each other like a two-way radio.

Must be nice.

[ He means it sincerely. There's nothing here that reminds him of home. ]

[ Despite the assurance, Derek moves for one of the ones towards the front, peering up at Anne and raising his eyebrows. His own choice, huh? ]
My mom always taught us not to waste food. [ Conversationally, as he slides it over towards him. ] That means the fresh ones'll keep longer.
ohrot: Good Night and Joy be with you all (I'll gently rise and softly call)

[Anne smiles, seeming to like this answer. He seems sincere with that, like he isn't saying it as a way to gain favor. It's a nice change of pace.]

Your mother was a smart one, then. [She gives him a quick once-over now, her smile taking on something of a softer tone.] Have you even got any caisos on you?
therewolf: (men do become wolves.)

[ Past tense. ] She was.

[ But that's beside the point. What in the fresh hell was a caiso? Some kind of currency here, no doubt, that he certainly had no access to. Derek pauses for a moment before he pulls out his wallet, leafing through bills inside. ]

[ This is stupid. She's probably never even seen it before. ]
I've got money. [ He pulls out a twenty and taps the edge against the counter. ] Not... what you're looking for, I'm guessing.
ohrot: (So fill to me the parting Glass)

[It's not, it's true. Paper money isn't something Anne's accustomed to seeing, not when most of the currency she got her hands on were the reales back home or the caisos here. She digs into a pocket and pulls out a few caisos, dropping them onto the counter in front of him.]

More round, like.
