It's the return of the Fourth Wall Meme, and we're opening it for the next full week! paradisa does not allow non-members to post or comment in our main community, so we're offering this as a place to roleplay with our cast. Both character journals and personal journals are welcome, as well as doubles, original characters, AUs, whatever. Not all can be applied to the main game, but they're certainly welcome here.

Premise:
You wake up in a giant, magical castle. Everything is beautiful and the castle grants material wishes. It also provides a magic journal to every resident that allows everyone to communicate with each other like a two-way radio.

[Mickey Mouse enters the room, and sits down at the kitchen table.]

[This is Dexter Grif. He was going back to Red Base to tell Sarge that Simmons had defected to the Blues again but instead he's in this castle.

It's weird, but what is he going to do about it? It's not like he was in a rush to get back to Red base anyway. It's also kind of nice here.

He's looking for the Kitchen.]

At least it's better then that dumb canyon.

Anyway I came back because I was lonely and this place had great drugs and booze.

I don't know about that. One, it's a castle, two, castles usually have kitches, and three, those kitches are usually stocked with those giant turkey legs and stuff.

Compared to the crap we have back in the canyon, that Washington won't let us eat because we have to "ration", I consider this a victory.

[In the kitchen is a magenta and green armored Freelancer, giving the microwave a smack on the side because it's not working properly. She's got a plate with a burger and a beer set up at the table, just trying to reheat the damn fries.]

[She cocks her head slightly when she hear someone behind her.] You'd think in a magic goddamn castle we'd have a magic goddamned microwave that doesn't fail every five goddamn minutes.

[Food glorious food! Actual food. Not MREs and no Washington telling him to ration! Best day ever in Grif's opinion.

Except for the woman in the kitchen wearing similar armour. Grif has ten seasons of knowledge telling him that women in similar armour that aren't his sister are generally bad news. So he's wary.

Although if the microwave's not working....well, plan B he guesses.]

If this place is seriously magic why can't you just....magic the fries? This place got any twinkies...or wagon wheels?

Because sometimes you just want the familiarity of home. [One last smack and the microwave starts working again.] Wagon wheels? What the hell are --

[She turns to look at him, and lets out a long-suffering sigh.] Goddamnit not another one. Who the hell are you?

No, I mean -- ugh! [She snaps her helmet off and haphazardly tosses it onto the counter.]
