Hisoka Kurosaki l Yami no Matsuei
Hisoka searches the rooms, using his empathy to try and track down if any of his colleagues are around at all, to find someone who can explain what is going on. He has yet to realize the whole wishing deal. He just wants to find out what is going on. To find his colleagues, assuming any of them are even around at all.
When he finds someone, he stops them if they don't seem too busy to ask them what is going on.]
Excuse me?
no subject
[He's not expecting to see the back of a familiar head. Tsuzuki'd recognize the empath anywhere.]
Hisoka? Wait up!
no subject
Do you know how hard it is to track you when you run around exploring like some kid in a candy store, you idiot?
[It's Hisoka's way of saying he's actually relieved to find him. Really. He's just not as open and outwardly relieved as his partner is right now. This whole situation has him on edge in spite of the supposed wonders and wishes and the potential this castle grants.]

He certainly appears to fit into the decor a bit more than Hisoka does, with his heavily detailed tailcoat and cravat and armload of books.]
Yes?

[Tsuzuki is currently bounding around exploring from what he can tell, so it's harder to locate him than Hisoka anticipated. Otherwise he wouldn't have bothered to ask around like this. He notes the wariness though. And likely returns it just for the fact that this is a stranger and this situation is weird and possibly dangerous, suddenly finding himself in unfamiliar territory like this. A hand reaches to run through his hair, clearly annoyed and exasperated at the situation.]

Your first question is a rather tall order, but I can start by answering your second - namely, I am not sure who your colleague is, but if he was with you just before you found yourself here, I can only tell you not to expect him to be here as well. The castle in which you find yourself is responsible for you being here, but it can be selective about who it chooses, or from when it does so.
[Which only scratched the surface of things, but he'd see how the boy reacted and go from there. He didn't place too much stock in the composure of teenagers]

[He's not sure how to explain his empathy, or if he should in this strange castle. But he tries to listens, frowning as he waits, not wanting to interrupt before he questions again. The main part that worries him is the mention as to when. Would that mean that Tsuzuki might not remember as much? More than him?]
From when? I assume you mean....what, that people might remember more or less than others from their home? I'm just going off of the context here.
no subject
Yes, that would be the effect. The castle cares as little about time as it does the borders of universes.
[He'd make a dismissive gesture at that but. Books.]

[Really, this is all just. Frustrating. He shouldn't be bothering with some stupid castle. Not if Muraki isn't here. Not if here he can't be sure whether he might be able to gain more power to better protect Tsuzuki. He purses his lips, glancing to the side briefly. Hisoka can't help being blunt, bristling almost with his desire to leave, to find Tsuzuki. But gathering information is important too. Tsuzuki can wait, it might be easier to track him down in a bit once he has stopped running around like a kid in a toy store.]
Anything else you think I should know if I just got here?
no subject
[He could drone on about the whole thing for quite awhile, as it so happened, but the kid didn't exactly look like he had the patience to sit through a whole lecture.]
The short of it is, you cannot leave until the castle sends you back. You are a resident until then. Accordingly, you...and you colleague...will have rooms and journals appointed to you. The castle will provide for your needs, and you may wish for nearly anything you need and the castle will give it to you. But know, also, that the castle is unpredictable and occasionally dangerous and extracts prices for it's gifts. You've already lost something for being here. Any questions so far?
[Somewhere in the middle he'd started treating the boy like one of his students back home]
no subject
I don't suppose there is any way to figure out what the...'price' is that I've lost? I don't much care right now for wishes, so long as I have the basic necessities, but that loss seems...concerning.
[The danger he could deal with. There was danger back home. Danger in being a shinigami anyway. So Hisoka isn't too concerned about that part. It's the mention of a price, something being lost, that worries him.]

[Hisoka is almost too distracted as he ponders and frets over this loss aspect that he nearly misses the last question. How to answer that without giving too much away?]
I'm....we're, I suppose like detectives might be the simplest way to explain.
